Swiss Couple Honoured as Tourism Ambassadors in Paralimni
The Municipality of Paralimni has named a Swiss couple as tourism ambassadors in recognition of their long-standing loyalty to the resort, which they’ve been visiting regularly for more than 40 years.
According to a statement from the municipality, Jeanette and Marco Dalcolmo were given the honorary title by Paralimni-Deryneia Mayor Yiorgos Nicoletos. The mayor praised the couple’s deep connection to the region, highlighting their consistent visits over four decades.
During the ceremony, the Swiss couple expressed their love for this part of Cyprus and shared their appreciation for the major improvements made to enhance local services and the municipality’s image—benefiting both residents and international visitors.
In turn, Mayor Nicoletos thanked the Dalcolmos, describing them as outstanding ambassadors for the region abroad. He emphasized the municipality’s commitment to continuously upgrading Paralimni-Deryneia, with the goal of making it one of Europe’s most attractive destinations.
