Temperatures Set to Soar to 37°C – Weather Forecast for May 23
The Meteorology Department of the Republic of Cyprus has announced that weak high pressure and a relatively warm air mass will dominate the region on Friday, May 23. The day is expected to start off mostly sunny, with only light winds and slightly choppy seas.
According to the forecast, temperatures during the day will climb to around 37°C inland, 28–32°C along the coast, and 26°C in the mountains. This evening, the weather will remain mostly clear, although some areas may see periods of increased cloud cover.
Overnight, temperatures are expected to drop to around 19°C inland and on the coast, and down to 15°C in the mountains.
Looking ahead to the weekend, the weather on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will remain mostly clear, with occasional cloudy intervals. Starting Sunday, dust is expected to enter the atmosphere, and concentrations may rise in certain areas. Temperatures will continue to increase gradually throughout the coming days.
