The Central Bank of Cyprus and the Bank of Greece are officially formalizing their cooperation
The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) and the Bank of Greece will sign a Memorandum of Cooperation. The document officially confirms cooperation in several areas, such as exercises to enhance resilience, as well as technological and climate risks.
The Memorandum aims to strengthen the exchange of knowledge between the two central banks. The signing ceremony will take place on Friday, March 1st.
The signing ceremony will be attended by the Governor of the Bank of Greece, Yannis Stournaras, and the Governor of the CBC, Constantinos Herodotou. Brief statements on current events and the European economy will follow.
It is worth noting that due to the upcoming meeting of the ECB board of directors on the day of the memorandum signing, there will be a period of calm.
Therefore, the CBC clarified that the statements will exclusively concern the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation and the relationship between the two central banks.
