Students of the Akropoleos Lyceum take action again: there is no heating in classrooms

Problems with learning conditions at the Akropoleos Lyceum continue. After autumn protests over non-functioning air conditioners, students have once again announced a protest action — this time due to the lack of heating in the middle of winter.
Today, students refused to attend classes for two school periods, stating that central heating is not working in a number of classrooms, and that air conditioners, which could be used for heating, remain switched off.
According to representatives of the student council, the administration had been warned about possible problems in winter during the previous protests, but the situation has still not been resolved. Students note that in some classrooms the temperature is so low that it is impossible to concentrate on lessons.
The Federation of School Committees confirmed that part of the central heating system is out of order due to a pump failure and assured that the maintenance company has already been notified. As for the air conditioners, their reconnection is being delayed due to the lack of certified electricians required to carry out the work in accordance with the requirements of the electrical services.
