Man Wanted for 2023 Arson in Ukraine Arrested at Paphos Airport
A man wanted by Ukrainian authorities in connection with an arson case from 2023 was arrested by police at Paphos Airport.
According to the police press office, the suspect was taken into custody late last night. While conducting passport checks in the arrivals area, an officer at Paphos Airport identified the 37-year-old foreign national as a passenger whose information was flagged on a stop list issued by Ukrainian authorities.
The Paphos District Court granted a temporary arrest warrant for the suspect. His extradition process to Ukraine is expected to begin today.
