New reconstruction phase begins at Paphos Airport — traffic near the terminal restricted until December

From November 3 to December 8, 2025, traffic flow near the arrival terminal at Paphos Airport will change as the second phase of the terminal expansion begins, according to operator Hermes Airports.
One lane in front of the terminal will remain open to maintain traffic flow. Temporary road signs will be installed for guidance, and during peak hours, airport staff will assist drivers and pedestrians.
Travelers are asked to be patient and follow staff instructions during the works.
The terminal expansion will increase its capacity by approximately 30%, improve passenger comfort, and speed up security and check-in procedures.
Additionally, the project includes extending the southern taxiway, which will enhance airport operational flexibility and reduce flight delays.
The first phase of modernization was completed in summer 2024, when interior terminal areas, including security checkpoints and passport control, were upgraded. The next step will be upgrading outdoor lighting and pedestrian zones to improve energy efficiency and safety.
