Body of Fisherman Found on Rocks in Ayia Napa
In Ayia Napa, holidaymakers discovered an unconscious man on the rocks. After he was taken to the hospital, doctors confirmed his death.
According to the police, information about the unconscious man in the coastal area of Nissaki in Ayia Thekla was reported to the police station at 08:20 in the morning. The man was wearing fishing attire, and nearby were fishing gear, a spear gun, and a mask.
The vacationers pulled the injured man ashore. He was transported by ambulance to Famagusta General Hospital in Paralimni, where he was pronounced dead.
The identity of the deceased fisherman has already been established. He was 57-year-old Georgios Senekkis from Dasaki Achnas.
The exact cause of his death will be determined by a scheduled autopsy, which will be conducted within the next day. The investigation into the man's death is being conducted by the Ayia Napa police station.
