In Ayia Napa, a new park will be built for 3.6 million euros
The Municipality of Ayia Napa has announced a tender for the construction of a new park costing 3.6 million euros. Part of the funding for the construction of the public space will come from the funds of the European Union.
The park will be located next to the central part of the tourist area of Ayia Napa. Its area will be 34 thousand square meters. The territory will feature a botanical garden with a lake, an observatory, a children's playground, and a mosaic park with spiral pathways.
There will also be an open-air market showcasing products from local producers, household items, and handicrafts.
The municipal authorities plan that the new park will be able to connect the western and eastern coasts of the city.
Applications to participate in the competition must be submitted by April 22. It is expected that the park will be completed and operational by 2025, with construction estimated to take 16 months.
