Infrastructure Projects Worth Thousands of Euros Underway in Acheritou
A series of projects worth thousands of euros aimed at developing infrastructure, culture, and improving the quality of life for residents is being implemented in the Acheritou district (Paralimni–Deryneia Municipality).
This was announced by the Mayor, Giorgos Nikolettos, who noted that some projects have already been completed, while others are in the implementation phase.
According to him, key initiatives include the modernization of the Acheritou shopping center, which is expected to improve the district's appearance and conditions for local businesses.
Landscaping work was also carried out near the St. George Chapel, featuring updated paths, new benches, and lighting. Future plans include the construction of public toilets for the convenience of visitors.
The municipality is also considering modernizing the Acheritou amphitheater to create a contemporary space for cultural events.
Significant attention is being paid to road infrastructure as well. The construction and reconstruction of several important roads are planned in the near future to improve transport connections and road safety.
One of the largest projects is the Acheritou Linear Park, costing approximately €1 million. Its construction is scheduled for completion by April 20, 2026. The park will feature walking zones, pavilions, relaxation areas, and greenery.
Furthermore, the renovation of the local medical clinic is nearing completion, with work valued at approximately €40,000.
The Mayor emphasized that these projects are being carried out to enhance infrastructure and living conditions for the district's residents.
