IN BELGRADE, THE THIRD INTERGOVERNMENTAL SUMMIT BETWEEN CYPRUS AND SERBIA WILL TAKE PLACE
The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, accompanied by ministers, is heading to Belgrade. The delegation will participate in the third intergovernmental summit between Cyprus and Serbia.
According to the official spokesperson for the government, Constantinos Petrides, the president has a scheduled private meeting with the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, followed by an expanded meeting of delegations and a joint press conference.
Afterwards, Nicos Anastasiades will visit the National Assembly of Serbia, where he will meet with its president. In the evening, the President of Serbia will host a dinner in honor of the Cypriot head and the entire Cypriot delegation.
The intergovernmental summit itself will take place on Thursday, with the participation of foreign affairs, education, and defense ministers from both countries. Ministers will also hold bilateral meetings with their counterparts at the Palace of Serbia, and the president will meet with the Serbian Patriarch Porfirije.
It is worth noting that after Serbia, Nicos Anastasiades will travel to Rome, where he will meet with Pope Francis.
