New Tender for Larnaca Yacht Marina to Be Launched
A new tender will be announced in Larnaca for the operation and maintenance of the yacht marina, as confirmed by the Minister of Transport, Alexis Vafeades, following a Cabinet meeting.

According to the minister, the successful bidder will be granted the right to operate and maintain the marina for a period of five years or until a new investor is found to modernize the pier's infrastructure.
The Cabinet also authorized the Ministry of Transport to continue managing the marina and to carry out necessary maintenance work until December 31, 2025, or until a private operator is appointed, whichever occurs first.
In a similar vein, the port authority has been granted the right to continue operating the Port of Larnaca, provided a separate tender is issued for its operation and maintenance.
Additionally, the Cabinet decided that staff currently employed at the Larnaca and Famagusta Districts Development Agency (Anetel), which currently oversees the marina, will be transferred to the winning bidder once a company takes over the marina's management.
