17-Year-Old Suspect Detained in Larnaca Over Weapon Theft Case
Police are investigating a house burglary in the Larnaca district, where, among other items, two shotguns were stolen. As part of the investigation, a 17-year-old teenager has been detained. The case is being handled by the Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
According to a report filed by the 46-year-old owner around 02:30 AM, the theft occurred between 22:50 and 02:25. A grey metal gun cabinet (approximately 160x40 cm, weighing about 50 kg) was stolen from the house, containing two double-barreled shotguns.
The complainant also stated that the cabinet contained cash and a white metal safe (approximately 50x25 cm), which also held money.
Police conducted a forensic examination of the scene, after which an arrest warrant was issued for the 17-year-old suspect. He has been detained, and the investigation is ongoing.
