A blessing of pets will take place in Limassol

In Limassol today, pets will be blessed — a traditional ceremony organized by the Limassol Metropolis on the feast day of Saint Modestos, who is venerated in the Orthodox tradition as the patron saint of animals.
According to reports, the event will take place on Tuesday, December 16, at 5:00 p.m. in the courtyard of the Church of Panagia Pantanassa in Limassol. During the ceremony, Metropolitan Athanasios of Limassol will deliver an address and give a blessing to all animals brought by their owners.
The organizers invite residents to come with their pets so they can receive the blessing.
