Man and woman arrested in Limassol in drug case
In Limassol, officers from the Drug Law Enforcement Unit (ΥΚΑΝ) arrested a 27-year-old man after narcotics were found during a vehicle check.
According to the police, at around 10:30 AM, the car driven by the 27-year-old was stopped for inspection. During the search, two packages of cocaine weighing about 2 grams were found on him, and in the car, another package of cocaine weighing about 4 grams, an ecstasy pill, precision scales, and 2,010 euros in cash were discovered. The man was arrested on the spot.
Later, police searched his residence in Limassol, which he shares with a 39-year-old woman. In the apartment, they found 29 packages of cannabis weighing about 293 grams, 5 packages of cannabis resin (13 grams), three electronic scales, six anabolic substance preparations, 1,350 euros, 100 dollars, and other evidence.
An additional search was conducted in the 39-year-old woman's car. There, police found four packages of cannabis (about 40 grams), two bags of mushrooms (about 45 grams), two packages of cannabis resin, four packages of cocaine (about 7 grams), ketamine (5 grams), MDMA (16 grams), 24 ecstasy pills, and four electronic cigarettes containing CBG.
Both suspects were taken to ΥΚΑΝ headquarters and re-arrested under judicial warrants. They are expected to appear before the Limassol District Court today for a remand hearing.
The investigation is ongoing.
