Man arrested in Limassol in drug case
Police have arrested a 58-year-old man as part of an investigation into the illegal importation and possession of narcotics with intent to supply.
The operation was carried out by anti-drug unit officers in cooperation with Customs. During an inspection of a container at a warehouse in Limassol, they discovered:
- 150 packages containing 590 products with cannabinoids (including Class A substances);
- 100 chocolate products containing cannabis.
Following the seizure of the products, an arrest warrant was issued for the suspect, who was detained later that evening.
He is appearing before the court today for a remand hearing.
The investigation is ongoing.
