63-Year-Old Woman Arrested in Limassol for the Murder of Her Ukrainian Husband
Over the weekend in Cyprus, 62-year-old Vitaliy Shostak, a Ukrainian national, was found murdered. His 63-year-old wife has been arrested on suspicion of the crime and is currently in custody. The couple’s son is the main witness in the case.

According to the police press office, the victim was discovered stabbed to death in his apartment in Pyrgos following a dispute with his wife.
The incident occurred on the victim's birthday. A neighbor reported hearing shouting coming from the apartment shortly before the tragedy. The man had been unemployed for the past two years, which made it increasingly difficult for him to continue living in the upscale residential complex where the couple resided.
Investigators have already taken a statement from the key witness, the couple’s son, who had traveled from England, where he resides permanently, and was the last person to speak with them. In his testimony, he confirmed that his parents had been drinking alcohol.
The woman, who has been arrested on suspicion of intentional murder, claims that her husband's death was the result of self-inflicted injuries. However, the investigation is considering all possible explanations for the incident.
An autopsy has been conducted, but the exact cause of death remains unclear. Forensic experts found no evidence to support any particular theory about the circumstances surrounding the death.
