Car dealership set on fire in Limassol: two luxury vehicles destroyed
Early Sunday morning in the center of Limassol, an unknown individual set fire to a car dealership by smashing the glass storefront and starting a blaze inside the premises. The incident occurred at around 4:15 a.m.
According to police, the perpetrator broke through the glass facade, poured a flammable substance, and ignited the showroom. As a result of the fire, two luxury vehicles valued at €120,000 and €60,000 were completely destroyed. Five other cars located in the showroom were not damaged.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze. A preliminary investigation confirmed that the fire was the result of arson. Damage to the building has not yet been assessed.
The owner of the dealership, a 37-year-old entrepreneur, told police that he has no conflicts and does not suspect any specific individuals. Limassol police continue the investigation and are analyzing witness statements and possible surveillance camera footage.
