Annual Marathon Held in Limassol
On Sunday, March 23, the city of Limassol hosted its annual marathon, attracting more than 17,000 athletes from 70 countries.
Runners gathered along Limassol’s seafront to participate in four distinct races.
The official opening ceremony was led by Alexandros Davos, CEO of OPAP Cyprus, and Limassol Mayor Yiannis Armeftis.
Organizers highlighted that the traditional Limassol Marathon promotes values such as fair play, unity, and collaboration.
Over 1,000 athletes competed in the main marathon, covering the challenging 42-kilometer distance.
