Explosion Hits Beer Bar in Limassol Early Thursday Morning
An explosion rocked a beer bar in Limassol early Thursday morning, marking the third such incident in the city within just a few days. This time, the blast targeted a bar owned by a 29-year-old Greek Cypriot man.
According to initial reports, at around 5:30 AM, unknown individuals planted an explosive device at the entrance of the bar, which is located at a busy intersection in the Zakaki area.
The powerful explosion triggered panic among nearby residents and caused significant alarm in the neighborhood.
Police quickly sealed off the area, and bomb squad officers are now on the scene conducting a thorough investigation. The bar owner is currently giving a statement to authorities and assisting with the inquiry into possible motives behind the attack.
This incident follows two similar explosions reported earlier this week—one at the home of a 70-year-old man and another at a local car repair shop.
