A Cafe Staffed by People with Autism Has Opened in Nicosia

True Heart Café, a social cafe providing employment for people on the autism spectrum, has opened in the center of Nicosia. The project aims to support their social integration and participation in city life.
The cafe was established by the non-governmental organization Voice for Autism and is the first social initiative of its kind in Cyprus. Here, employees undergo training, gain work experience, and receive support from specialists.
For many employees, this is their first job. According to them, the cafe has become a place where they can make friends, grow, and feel like part of society.
The project is also supported by government bodies and private companies. Currently, the cafe team consists of about 18 people.
