Road Closures in Nicosia for March 25th Parade
In connection with the celebration of the national anniversary of March 25, 1821, the Cyprus Police are introducing temporary traffic and parking restrictions in Nicosia.
The restrictions are related to the solemn service at the Panagia Faneromeni Church and the festive parade in the city center.
From midnight on March 24, parking will be prohibited on several streets in central Nicosia, including the areas around Panagia Faneromeni Church, as well as on Konstantinou Paleologou, Omirou, Vyronos, and Evagorou avenues.
From 09:00 on March 25, traffic will be temporarily closed on Omirou and Vyronos avenues, and from 09:30 along the parade route, including Michalaki Karaoli Street and Dimostheni Severi Avenue.
Special parking lots will be available for event attendees, including Davilla, the moat parking near the municipality, the fire station parking, and the Kolokasi parking lot.
City bus routes will also change—after 09:30, passenger boarding and alighting will take place at temporary stops.
Police urge residents to follow the instructions of officers on-site and remind that the use of drones during the events is prohibited.
