An explosive attack carried out on the house of Yorgos Gavriel in Nicosia
Last night in Nicosia, a serious attack involving the use of an explosive device took place. The target of the attack was the home of artist Yorgos Gavriel. The explosion occurred at the entrance of the residential building and caused material damage.
According to preliminary police information, the explosive was planted by unknown individuals and then detonated. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the façade of the house and the surrounding area were damaged.
Police and bomb disposal units promptly arrived at the scene. The area was cordoned off, evidence is being collected, and CCTV footage is being analyzed. Investigators are considering various versions; the motives for the attack have not yet been officially announced.
The police continue the investigation and urge anyone with information to contact law enforcement authorities.
