Tragedy in Paphos: 17-Year-Old Teenager from Georgia Dies After Inhaling Gas from a Canister
A tragic incident occurred in Paphos when a 17-year-old boy died after inhaling gas from a canister. The teenager lost consciousness in the courtyard of a technical school. According to emergency services, the accident happened last Sunday. At the time of the incident, the boy was with friends, who quickly called for an ambulance. Firefighters had to break the chain on the gates to allow the ambulance to enter the school grounds.
The medical team arrived and transported the teenager to the city’s general hospital in an unconscious state. Despite the efforts of doctors and paramedics, they were unable to save him — he passed away without regaining consciousness.
The police are investigating whether the group had been using drugs or inhaling any other substances. It is known that the deceased teenager was from Georgia and had been living with his parents in Paphos. Preliminary reports suggest that the cause of death was inhaling gas from a canister typically used to refill lighters.
