Mass Tire Punctures in Paphos: Roads Covered in Nails
Paphos has experienced a sharp rise in incidents of tire punctures. Drivers are reporting that roads in various parts of the city are scattered with nails, which they believe are being deliberately placed by unknown vandals.
According to Philenews, this issue has now reached alarming proportions. Tire repair shops in the city confirm that while they used to receive 4-5 cases a week of such damage, the number of affected drivers has recently surged, with dozens of incidents occurring in a short span of time.
Experts suggest that nails and other sharp objects are being intentionally scattered to cause damage to vehicles.
The problem has drawn the attention of Chrysanthos Savvidis, a member of parliament from Paphos. He confirmed that he has received reports on the scale of the issue from local tire repair shops. According to Savvidis, efforts are underway to involve the police and other authorities to investigate and stop these actions.
Residents are calling on the authorities to take immediate action to ensure the safety of the roads.
