In Paphos, the Christmas tree burned down completely
The Christmas tree on the central square of the municipality of Paphos in Cyprus has burned down entirely. The beautiful forest tree is destroyed by the fire.
According to the police press service, the fire broke out on Wednesday morning, shortly after 03:00. Fire brigades promptly arrived at the scene. However, it was not possible to save the main symbol of Christmas and New Year – the tree burned down entirely. By morning, the incident site was still cordoned off. The police are investigating the causes of the fire.
It is worth noting that the Christmas tree on the central square of the municipality of Paphos stood for exactly a month. The 12-meter-tall tree was installed on December 3.
