Farmers' market to open soon in Paphos — first time in 10 years

The construction of a new open-air farmers' market in Paphos is nearing completion and will open shortly. It will be located on the municipal Pervola parking lot within the renovated city shopping center and will occupy about 500 m².
According to the deputy mayor, the market will fill a long-standing gap — residents have long requested the opportunity to buy fresh products directly from farmers. It will also serve as an additional point of interest for tourists.
The new market will allow:
• purchasing products at more affordable prices
• supporting local producers
• reducing the role of intermediaries
The construction contract was signed in October of last year.
