Prosecutor's Car Set on Fire in Paphos
The Paphos police were alerted last night due to an emergency. Unknown perpetrators set fire to the car of the state prosecutor.
According to local media reports, the incident occurred shortly before midnight. Messages state that at the time of the car arson, the female prosecutor was at home with her family.
Footage from the scene shows that as a result of the arson, the car was completely destroyed. Two other cars parked nearby, next to the prosecutor's vehicle, also suffered serious damage.
The Chief of Police in Paphos arrived at the scene. It is noted that this is the second attack on the state prosecutor in the past few weeks.
Recall that on December 20th, there was an explosion at the home of a 58-year-old prosecutor. The injured woman was taken to the general hospital in Paphos.
Both the legal service and the Ministry of Justice have referred to the attack that occurred last month as a "vile act."
