Wanted Criminal Arrested in Paphos, Cyprus
On Sunday, Paphos police arrested a 41-year-old man wanted by British authorities. He had been sentenced to 7.5 years in prison in the UK.
According to Michaelis Nicolaou, assistant director of the Paphos police, officers from the Paphos Crime Investigation Department discovered and apprehended the 41-year-old man on Sunday around noon. He was wanted in the UK.
The arrested individual was sought after for violations of intellectual property law, for which he had already been sentenced to seven and a half years in prison.
The 41-year-old man is now in custody in Cyprus. The extradition process to British authorities is expected to begin shortly.
