In Paphos, they have conceived the development of wedding tourism
The Regional Tourism Development and Promotion Company of Paphos (ETAP) and stakeholders plan to develop wedding tourism in the region.
At a meeting attended by representatives of the municipalities of Paphos, Geroskipou, and Peyia, as well as the Hoteliers Association and the Travel Agents Association of Paphos, attracting more tourists for wedding ceremonies was discussed.
Efforts by market participants will focus on coordinating various initiatives to develop wedding tourism, including participation in specialized exhibitions, primarily in the United Kingdom and emerging markets.
Additionally, meeting participants discussed the implementation of public relations strategies, such as engaging with influencers and popular bloggers. Trips for wedding organizers are also planned from both existing and emerging markets, such as Poland, Lebanon, and France.
Plans were outlined during the meeting for the modernization of wedding venues and the use of digital technologies for the effective promotion of wedding tourism.
Moreover, discussions addressed piracy issues in the wedding tourism industry and the imposition of excessive fees for the use of archaeological sites.
Looking ahead, the group decided to expand its membership at the upcoming meeting scheduled for March, including additional hotel owners and private sector specialists actively involved in promoting wedding tourism.
