August 1st: Cyprus to Experience Hot Weather with Rain in the Mountains
According to the Meteorology Department of the Republic of Cyprus, on Thursday, August 1st, the region will be affected by seasonal low pressure.
In the first half of the day, the weather will be mostly clear, but increasing cloud cover is expected to bring rain or even thunderstorms in the afternoon, primarily in the mountains.
The meteorological service forecasts that today's air temperature will rise to 40°C in inland areas, up to 35°C in the southeast and on the eastern coast, around 34°C on the northern coast, up to 33°C on the rest of the coast, and up to 30°C in the mountainous areas.
By evening and overnight, the weather will remain mostly clear, although some areas, mainly on the western coast, may experience increased low cloudiness.
The air temperature will drop to 26°C in inland areas, 23°C on the southwest coast, 24°C on other coasts, and 21°C in the mountainous areas.
The weather is expected to remain mostly sunny until Sunday. Temperatures will gradually decrease slightly until Saturday, approaching average climatic values, and then slightly increase on Sunday.
