Officers of the Cyprus Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN) have seized a large shipment of drugs found in a postal parcel.
According to police, a search revealed cannabis with a total weight of 6 kilograms and 722 grams. The drugs were contained in six plastic packages inside the parcel.
The parcel was identified on February 25 as part of operational measures to combat drug trafficking. The operation was carried out through international cooperation with law enforcement agencies of another country, from which the shipment originated, as well as with the participation of the Cyprus Customs Service.
The investigation into the case is being conducted by the regional unit of the Drug Law Enforcement Unit in Larnaca.
