First Organized Beach Opens in Mandria
The first organized beach in the village of Mandria (Paphos district) has officially opened. This project was spearheaded by the Paphos Region Tourism Development and Promotion Company, with support from the Ministry of Tourism.
Launched earlier this year, the project is set to be completed over three years. The first phase, which has been completed, includes the reconstruction of the lifeguard tower, and the installation of straw umbrellas, sunbeds, and beach tables. Additionally, lightweight mobile facilities such as changing rooms, barriers for portable toilets and showers, recycling bins, and directional signs have been set up.
With the initial phase now finished, the beach is equipped with lifeguard services and the necessary basic amenities.
According to the Paphos Region ETAP, the three-year plan includes enhancing infrastructure accessibility, upgrading lifeguard equipment, expanding the "Quality Coast" program, and applying for the Blue Flag award.
