Explosion Reported in Suburb of Nicosia at Residential Building Parking Lot
Another explosion occurred in Nicosia last night. This time, a bomb detonated at the parking lot of a residential building in Lakatamia.
According to the police, information about the explosion was received by law enforcement agencies at 01:30. Immediately, members of the security forces arrived at the scene. During the inspection of the explosion site, it was revealed that unknown perpetrators had planted an explosive device in the parking area near vehicles belonging to a 30-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman.
As a result of the explosion, one of the two cars was damaged.
The scene of the incident remains cordoned off. Law enforcement officials are investigating the exact cause of the explosion.
