Pistol and Explosives Found in Limassol District
Police discovered a pistol and explosive substances in an open area between the villages of Alassa and Lania in the Limassol province.
According to law enforcement authorities, officers from the Limassol OPE unit arrived at the scene following operational information. During a search of the area, they found a hidden pistol without a magazine, as well as five fragments of explosive material with a total weight of approximately 670 grams.
An explosives expert from the Limassol Police Department and officers from the Limassol TAE investigative department arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection of the territory.
The weapon and explosives were seized and sent for specialized forensic examination. According to preliminary information, the pistol is in working condition.
