A man was arrested in Strovolos after the discovery of about 1 kg of cannabis and 6 g of cocaine.
According to the police, on Wednesday morning in the Strovolos area (Nicosia), a 31-year-old man was detained after a search of his home conducted under a court warrant. During the inspection, police officers and the anti-narcotics unit (Ykan) seized about 1 kilogram of cannabis, approximately 6 grams of cocaine, and cash totaling €3,910.
The detainee was taken to the police station for questioning. Law enforcement authorities have not provided further information on the initiation of a criminal case or subsequent procedural steps.
For residents of the area, this may mean a temporary increase in police presence and checks. The police urge citizens to report suspicious activity and continue to follow standard procedures in investigating drug-related crimes.
