Woman detained at Larnaca airport in case of theft from deceased person's account
Cyprus police have detained a 41-year-old woman on suspicion of stealing funds from the bank account of a woman who had passed away.
According to police information, the suspect was detained early in the morning at Larnaca airport immediately upon her arrival in Cyprus. The arrest was made based on a judicial warrant issued as part of the investigation.
Investigators allege that between July 21 and July 25, 2022, the woman withdrew a total of 17,500 euros from the deceased's account.
The suspect has been placed in custody for further investigative actions. The investigation is ongoing.
