This weekend, the 7th Radisson Blu Larnaca International Marathon will take place in Cyprus
This weekend, one of the island's largest sporting festivals will take place in Cyprus: the 7th Radisson Blu Larnaca International Marathon. The annual race will be held on November 17th.
This year, thousands of athletes from all over the world will come to Larnaca to participate in the biggest sports celebration on the island. The event will start on Sunday, November 17th, at the Finikoudes Beach. There will be 7 race routes for participants to choose from.
The event program begins with the main route, the Marathon Course, followed by the Half Marathon and a 10 km race. There will also be a 5 km race, a corporate race, and the McDonald's Children's Race, which is 1 km long.
A special guest of the event this year will be Greek Paralympic athlete and World Champion in Athletics Stelios Malakopoulos. A world record holder in long jump who lost both legs after a terrible accident at the age of 19 but continued to compete and succeed, he will attempt to set a new record by participating in the 5 km race.
