In January, free movie nights will be held in Larnaca
In Larnaca, they have decided to resume the practice of organizing free evening film screenings. In January, movie enthusiasts will have the opportunity to enjoy three films from French, Belgian, and Spanish production.
World cinema works will be shown on Monday evenings at the Municipal Theatre "Skala."
On January 15, the film "Taste of Things" by director Chang Anh Hung will be presented. It was selected by France as its entry for the Academy Award in the "Best Foreign Language Film" category. The leading roles are played by Juliette Binoche, Benoît Magimel, and Emmanuelle Seigner. The film has received five awards at international film festivals. The film will be shown in French with Greek subtitles.
On January 22, the dramatic thriller of 2022, "Love Through the Eyes of Dalva," will be presented. It explores the themes of sexual violence against minors and the twisted desires of girls to grow up. The film received the Audience Award at the Rotterdam Film Festival and the FIPRESCI Prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
The last movie screening in January will take place on January 29. The audience will be presented with the Spanish social drama of 2023, "Maternity," directed by Álvaro Gago, starring María Vázquez. The film is shot in the Galician language.
All free movie sessions will start on Mondays at 20:30. The films will be shown with subtitles in Greek.
Evening screenings on Mondays will continue throughout February, March, and April.
