Cypriot authorities called for responsible gambling during the Easter period
The Cyprus Gaming and Casino Supervision Authority has urged residents of Cyprus to exercise caution and control their participation in gambling during the Easter holidays.
The authority emphasized that gambling should be viewed solely as a form of entertainment, not as a way to make money.
The regulator also reminded that support services continue to operate during the holidays, including the free helpline 1422, specialized counseling centers, and the GambleControl online platform.
Residents were urged to set limits on the time and money they are willing to spend on gambling to avoid the risks of excessive involvement.
The warning was issued as part of the “Take Control” campaign, which aims to remind people of the need to maintain control over gambling, especially during periods of increased activity such as Easter.
