Drivers warned about dangerous road sections due to bad weather

Due to deteriorating weather conditions, stalled and abandoned vehicles have been recorded on a number of roads in Cyprus, posing a serious threat to traffic. Police and road services urge drivers to be extremely cautious, especially on routes with limited visibility.
According to the authorities, difficult conditions are observed in areas where, due to rain, strong winds and slippery surfaces, vehicles lose control or are forced to stop. In some places, cars remain directly on the roadway or shoulders, forming dangerous spots.
Drivers are advised to:
- reduce speed;
- maintain a safe distance;
- be prepared for sudden obstacles on the road;
- avoid travel unless absolutely necessary.
Services continue to monitor the situation and urge motorists to follow official warnings.
