GREEK SINGER MARINELLA HAS DIED
The legendary Greek singer Marinella, one of the most famous and influential artists of the Greek music scene, has passed away at the age of 87.
Marinella was a towering figure in Greek entertainment. Over a career spanning seven decades, she recorded dozens of hit songs, performed on the world's most prestigious stages, and collaborated with renowned composers. Her work significantly shaped the development of modern Greek music.
The singer enjoyed immense popularity not only in Greece but also in Cyprus, where her songs were staples of concerts and festivals for many years. Her family announced that she passed away peacefully at her home on March 28, 2026, following health complications that began after a stroke she suffered on stage in 2024.
