184 Drivers Caught Breaking Traffic Laws in Limassol Over the Holiday Weekend
During the long holiday weekend, the Limassol police implemented intensified measures to address traffic violations and other criminal activities.
From Friday evening to Tuesday morning, a total of 184 traffic violations were recorded. According to the Limassol traffic police, 579 vehicles were checked, resulting in 15 drivers being apprehended for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Additionally, authorities discovered that nine establishments were operating without the necessary licenses. One owner was charged with violating regulations concerning recreational centers when four minors were found inside.
The police also arrested one individual who was illegally residing in Cyprus, a minor involved in an assault, three wanted persons, and another for drug-related offenses.
Furthermore, the police monitored four football matches and two basketball games during this period.
