21 Undocumented Migrants Arrested in Cyprus Over the Weekend
A large-scale police operation aimed at identifying undocumented migrants was carried out over the weekend across several districts in the Republic of Cyprus.
The coordinated effort took place in Nicosia, Limassol, and Paphos with the involvement of the Aliens and Immigration Service (YAM), the Green Line Surveillance Unit, and officers responsible for managing irregular migration.
During the operation, police arrested 21 individuals of various nationalities who were found to be residing illegally in the country. Repatriation procedures have already been initiated in coordination with the relevant authorities.
The police emphasized that these inspections and repatriation efforts are ongoing and form part of daily enforcement operations.
