Over the weekend in Paphos, more than 20 illegal migrants were arrested
Last Sunday, an operation to identify illegal migrants took place in Paphos. More than 20 people were detained.
According to the police press service, 22 migrants were arrested during an operation to identify illegal residents of Paphos, carried out jointly with the immigration service.
It is reported that the detained citizens of different nationalities lived in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus illegally.
According to police, procedures for the repatriation of arrested illegal immigrants have already begun.
Let us recall that it was previously reported that since the beginning of this year, the total number of third-country citizens who returned to their countries of origin through voluntary or forced repatriation amounted to almost 7 thousand people.
