23-year-old man detained after knife attack in Larnaca
Larnaca police have detained a 23-year-old local resident suspected of involvement in an assault causing grievous bodily harm.
According to the investigation, at around 20:50 in a residential building, a conflict broke out between the young man and three other men (aged 36, 30, and 25). After a verbal altercation, the suspect allegedly called his acquaintances, who arrived at the scene and attacked the victims.
During the assault, two men—aged 25 and 30—sustained stab wounds. The victims were taken to Larnaca Hospital, where they received medical treatment and were subsequently released.
The 23-year-old man was detained and placed in custody for investigative procedures. He is expected to be brought before a court for a remand hearing.
The investigation is ongoing.
