The famous Italian street artist will paint Limassol with his graffiti
The renowned Italian street artist Francesco Camillo Giorgino, known as Millo, will be painting Limassol with his graffiti this week. He has gained fame for his large-scale works across the globe.
Millo will be participating in the Art Square project in Limassol to create a collection of outdoor paintings celebrating the beauty of Cypriot nature and its inhabitants. The six-story works of art will be part of Limassol's bid for the title of European Capital of Culture for the year 2030.
"While I have had the honor of painting all over the world, my participation in the Art Square project in Cyprus is truly special," said the artist.
According to Francesco Camillo Giorgino, the work on the project has been both challenging and extremely rewarding from the very beginning.
"This is my first attempt where the canvas itself is created specifically for my art, drawing inspiration from the rich natural and symbolic tapestry of Cyprus," added the artist.
Cypriot audiences are invited to witness Millo's creative process firsthand starting from February 28. The grand opening of the exhibition will take place on April 6. It will feature Millo's frescoes and an exhibition of children's works from students of local schools participating in the exhibition. The author of the drawings will interact with guests at the exhibition opening.
The famous artist will also conduct a series of master classes for students from nearby schools, focusing on topics such as creativity, the role of street art in modern urban culture, and the harmonious integration of art with architecture.
It is noted that Millo's works can be seen in China, India, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Thailand, Palestine, Jordan, Great Britain, Cyprus, Georgia, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia, Belarus, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Mexico, France, Polynesia, Morocco, the United States, and in all European countries.
