How to get from Paphos Airport to Protaras?
These locations are as far apart as possible. However, it is still possible to get from the western airport to the easternmost resort in Cyprus, and not just by taxi.
Taxi
This option is traditionally the most comfortable and the most expensive. A taxi from Paphos Airport to Protaras will cost at least 160 euros. The journey takes about two hours, and in case of traffic, it can take up to two and a half hours.

Public transport
Airport shuttle + bus + taxi
There is no direct Kapnos bus to Protaras, so you will have to transfer and not reach the resort directly. However, you can take buses from the same company to the Finikoudes station near Larnaca Marina, where you can transfer to buses to Ayia Napa (the bus to Protaras only passes through around 6 PM).
Here is the station you need to choose when buying a ticket. You can find the location on the map below the text. From Ayia Napa, you will need to take a taxi to Protaras, but it is not far and not expensive.
The schedule is not very convenient—about 3 trips per day. You can check the departure times on the Kapnos bus company website. Select Paphos airport on the left, Finikoudes Larnaca Center on the right, then choose the day of the week on the calendar, and the departure times will be displayed.
City + intercity buses
The second option is to take bus 613 to the central market. The ticket costs 1.5 euros.
From there, there is a direct bus from Paphos to Protaras, but it only runs once a day at 16:00 from New Terminal Pervola - Karavella. The journey takes 3 hours.
After getting off at the final stop, you will need to walk a short distance to the Intercity bus stop "Παλαιά Περβόλα" (on Google Maps: Karavella Bus Station). The ticket costs 9 euros.
Rental car
This option combines convenience and savings. You can rent a car at Paphos Airport for less than 9 euros per day! The screenshot shows an example from the specialized search engine Localrent.
