New Terminal at Ercan Airport: What You Need to Know
On July 20, 2023, a new terminal opened at Ercan Airport. Now, pre-flight and passport control, as well as document checks upon arrival and baggage claim, are located on the opposite side of the runway.

Departures Area
The route to the airport now takes slightly longer due to an additional section of road. From the roundabout in front of the old terminal, turn left, then at the next roundabout, turn right.
To avoid confusion and get as close as possible to the departure area, when driving around the terminal parking, stay on the left side at all times — this leads directly to the passenger drop-off and pick-up area.
Arrivals Area
Despite the increased size of the new terminal, queues at passport control remain long — allow 20–30 minutes for this procedure. However, passengers now have access to spacious halls and more convenient baggage claim from multiple carousels.
If you plan to continue your journey by bus, exit the airport keeping to the left — there is the Kibhas ticket counter. Buses stop right next to it, under a shelter. You can check the current schedule on kibhas.org.
How to Get There and Transportation Options
In addition to public transport, taxis and private transfers depart from the terminal. It is recommended to book a transfer in advance — this helps avoid waiting during the evening and night hours when flight arrivals are especially frequent.
The parking lot is located next to the terminal, has several levels, and includes zones for short-term and long-term parking. You can read more about its location and rates in our article.
