The New Terminal of Erсan Airport: What You Need to Know

On July 20, 2023, the new terminal was opened at Erсan Airport. Now, pre-flight and passport controls, as well as document checks upon arrival and baggage claim, are carried out on the other side of the runway.

The new terminal significantly differs in size from the old one - it has more baggage carousels and check-in counters. Additionally, ramps and buses to the gate have been introduced.

Departure

The route to the airport will now take slightly more time due to an additional section of the road. From the roundabout in front of the old terminal, turn left, then turn right at the next roundabout, and after passing through the tunnel under the runway, turn right again. The exact location is shown on the map below.

To avoid confusion and get as close as possible to the airport entrance for passenger boarding or disembarking, when bypassing the parking lot in front of the terminal, keep to the left side at all times.

Arrival

Despite the increase in size, there is still a shortage of passport control counters, resulting in long queues. Allow 20-30 minutes for this formality.

If you want to take the bus, when exiting the airport building, keep to the left - tickets are currently sold at a small counter outside under the sign Kibhas. The bus stops here as well. By the way, the carrier's website has been updated, but the address remains the same: kibhas.org.
