What documents are required to cross the border?

You need a valid passport and a valid visa or other entry permit for the Republic of Cyprus (southern part), if required for your nationality. What is prohibited from being taken into the Republic of Cyprus (southern part)?

There is a list of goods that are prohibited from being carried across the Green Line. It is published separately: what cannot be taken out of Northern Cyprus across the Green Line.

The Green Line is the commonly used name for the division line and buffer zone between Northern Cyprus and the Republic of Cyprus, where the checkpoints are located.
